Infortrend EonStor Cube Works as Tower or Stackable Desktop External RAID Storage Array

AMSTERDAM, September 10, 2004—At IBC today, RAID storage expert InfortrendR added the EonStor™ A08U-C2410 RAID subsystem in a convertible desktop or tower “Cube” form factor to its line of Serial ATA (SATA) RAID arrays. The A08U-C2410 is the first SATA-II array from Infortrend and offers across-the-board compatibility by supporting SATA-I and parallel ATA drives in addition to the newest SATA-II hard drives with features such as native command queuing (NCQ).

The new convertible Cube provides for cascading by stacking a maximum of four desktop enclosures together to create capacity expansion up to 12TB. With its attractive design, ergonomic push-button drive trays with key-lock security, and value price point, the EonStor A08U-C2410 is ideal for direct attached storage applications in digital media, broadcast, medical imaging, and security.
