New Models Deliver High Speed, Improved Scalability, and Ease of Management

SAN JOSE, Calif., May 20, 2008 – Focusing on the growing popularity of SAS technology and the demand for higher performance in IT environments, networked storage expert Infortrend® (Public TPE: 2495) today announced two new arrays in its SAS product line: the EonStor® S12F-R1432 redundant-controller and the S12F-G1433 single-controller Fibre Channel (FC)-to-SAS/SATA subsystems. In 2005, Infortrend introduced the world’s first FC-to-SAS RAID arrays to the market, combining high-speed 4G-FC host ports with SAS hard drives to deliver improved reliability and availability compared to Ultra320 SCSI and SATA drive technologies. Infortrend has dedicated its RAID expertise to developing these successors to the groundbreaking S12F-R/G1420, delivering enterprise-class networked storage with the following main advantages:

• Reliability: the S12F-R1432 and S12F-G1433 come with built-in hardware RAID 5 and RAID 6 to provide the highest levels of fault tolerance for mission-critical data.
• Performance: in a RAID 5 end-to-end configuration, the S12F can achieve up to 1,420 MBps reads and 780 MBps writes.
• Scalability: the S12F allows users to start with the storage capacity they currently need and scale up to 60TB as more capacity is required.
• Ease of management: the new S12F comes with SANWatch®, Infortrend's proprietary storage management software suite, which allows IT personnel to manage complicated storage architectures through a graphical, user-friendly interface. In addition to comprehensive administration features, SANWatch enables advanced data protection through snapshot and multi-pathing (EonPath) functions.
