SAN JOSE, Calif., September 2, 2008 – Networked storage expert Infortrend® (Public TPE: 2495) today announced two new iSCSI-to-SAS/SATA subsystems: the EonStor® (ES) S12E-R1132 redundant-controller and ES S12E-G1133 single-controller arrays.   These high-performance, cost-effective iSCSI-host systems join Infortrend's growing line of iSCSI-host products that answer IT managers demand for storage in the hot, high-growth IP SAN market. The entire EonStor iSCSI family delivers all of the IP SAN benefits such as data integrity, easy data access, transparent operation, low deployment cost, simplified management, and future scalability.

The S12E-R1132 RAID subsystem features eight one Gigabit Ethernet (GbE) ports, combining multiple host channels into a portal group and allowing the array to achieve 720MB per second (MBps) reads and 300MBps writes in an end-to-end RAID configuration. It provides best-in-class performance, affordability and straightforward management of IP SANs.  Differently, the S12E-G1133 array has two 1GbE ports and serves as an entry-level IP SAN; this system will resonate strongly with the SMB market and organizations looking for a cost effective networked storage solution offering a compelling set of features including high flexibility and easy scalability.

The EonStor S12E-R1132 is now available through Infortrend's worldwide network of ODMs, distributors, and storage integrators. The S12E-G1133 will be available at the end of October.
