SANWatchSANWatch provides all functions necessary to discover, configure, administer, and monitor Infortrend's RAID arrays; be they remote or many. The SANWatch also provides management interfaces for EonPath and Snapshot functions, so that all data protection and high availability features can be accessed through one interface. |

SANWatch Storage Management Suite
SANWatch is a Java-based management platform not only for managing storage hardware but also providing data protection capabilities such as snapshot and multi-pathing. More advanced features, including Volume Copy, Split mirror and Remote replication, will be implemented on the same platform.
- New Access Portal: The initial portal provides a glimpse of multiple RAID systems, and a quick check of RAID statuses by a single mouse click. From a single management station, it only takes seconds to see the integrity of all your RAID systems.
- Advanced Snapshot: Snapshot is an add-on module enacted by a charged license. See more details on the snapshot page.
- EonPath support: A new interface is provided with SANWatch for configuring path redundancy and load-balancing algorithms.
Flexible Deployment:
SANWatch supports either in-band or out-of-band management using in-band commands or TCP/IP for local or remote management. Independent agents can function as the intermediate, bridging elements for centralized management of multiple RAID systems. Management access is made either from a local host or remotely over the network.

Event Notification:
Beyond the requirements for all storage management software, SANWatch is rich in its choices with event notification. Event messages are automatically delivered to IT administrators via Email, LAN broadcast, SNMP traps, SMS, MSN, and Fax.

Configuration Features:
SANWatch supports all firmware functionality with handy tools such as Media Scan scheduler, performance graphs, and visualized display of logical elements. You can also export the configuration profile, event summary, and download firmware online.
Requirements:
Hardware:
- Computer must be a Pentium or above PC-compatible machine
- 16K or higher mode monitor.
- At least one available Ethernet port (over TCP/IP).
- A fax modem that supports Hayes AT command protocol is required (if using the Fax event notification function.) (Fax command class 2.0 and above.)
- A GSM modem is required (if using the SMS short message event notification function). SANWatch currently supports two GSM modem models:
- Siemens TC35
- WAVECOM Fast Rack M1206

| * Out-of-band includes Ethernet access to a RAID system firmware directly via its Ethernet port or the access via the “Data Host agent” on a DAS/SAN data server and then to the RAID firmware. | ||||||
