INFORTREND FIBRE-TO-SATA RAID ARRAY PASSES TESTING FOR WINDOWS MULTI-CLUSTER PROGRAM

SANTA CLARA, Calif., December 13, 2006 – RAID storage expert Infortrend® today announced that the EonStor® A16F-R2431 4G Fibre Channel-to-SATA RAID subsystem has passed qualification testing by the Microsoft® WHQL (Windows Hardware Quality Lab) for the Windows® Multi-cluster program. Being certified for this program means that the ES A16F-R2431 is recommended for use as a shared storage device in a storage area network (SAN) where multiple clusters or non-Windows hosts are attached.

“Certification for the Windows Multi-cluster program is one more example of our commitment to support vital industry platforms,” said Tony Chu, president of Infortrend Corporation. “Storage managers can build the ES A16F-R2431 into their complex clustered SAN environments and know that their data will stay secure, protected, and available.”

The hardware for WHQL testing consisted of the ES A16F-R2431 connected to one Ethernet network switch; one Fibre switch; one DNS server; two client computers as remote test hosts; and six computers as test nodes. The two host servers were grouped into two node clusters with Infortrend's EonPath™ Multipath I/O software installed on each server for path redundancy and protection against component failure. Testing was completed on October 29, 2006; details on this and other qualified EonStor products can be found in the Windows Server catalog at www.microsoft.com/Windows/catalog/server/.
