Streaming applications often feature few and large sequential I/O streams. Infortrend provides AV optimization as a firmware option with the precondition that the array stripe size and other parameters need to be fine-tuned. For the optimal performance, some options such as read-ahead, are not available on the standard firmware configuration screen. It is best to consult technical support and sales representative about the detailed requirements of your streaming applications so that our engineers can fine-tune the array parameters.
