The Museum of the History of Polish Jews Adopted Infortrend Storage Solutions for Its Hyper-V Environment
The Museum of the History of Polish Jews opened its doors to the public in April 2013. It currently functions as a cultural and educational centre with a rich cultural program, including temporary exhibitions, films, debates, workshops, performances, concerts, lectures and much more. The Core Exhibition, presenting the thousand-year history of Polish Jews, opened on October 28, 2014. The Museum was troubled by its outdated storage systems and was looking for a solution to meet these requirements for backup and archiving:
- Seamless incorporation into existing infrastructure
- Support for physical and Hyper-V virtual backup for multi-applications
- Easy storage expansion to meet growing demands
The High Capacity of Infortrend Storage Solutions
To resolve these issues, the Museum considered almost all major vendors on the market and after careful evaluation chose the Infortrend storage system “EonStor DS 3060” due to its good performance, high availability, and large scalability of up to 360 drives for one system via expansion enclosures.
Hyper-V Support and Easy Configuration
As data is very valuable for the Museum, it is critical for their storage to support backup mechanisms. Infortrend’s solution fully supports both physical and Hyper-V virtual backup to ensure the Museum’s data is safe. Furthermore, the Infortrend EonStor DS 3060 dual controller storage system offers large capacity and extreme reliability, while also providing convenient deployment and user-friendly management.
