Infortrend Statement on RoHS ComplianceInfortrend declares that its products and sub-components have been designed and manufactured in compliance with the European directive, RoHS (2002/95/EC). Infortrend will endeavor to ensure that products are in compliance with the regulations. RoHS Directive (2002/95/EC) The Restriction of Hazardous Substances in Electrical and Electronic Equipment (RoHS) Directive was passed into law by the European Union. It affects manufacturers, sellers, distributors and recyclers of electrical and electronic equipment containing lead, mercury, cadmium, hexavalent chromium, polybrominated biphenyls (PBB) or Polybrominated Diphenyl Ethers (PBDE). The key elements of RoHS are as follows:
Member states shall ensure that from 1 July 2006 new electrical and electronic equipment do not contain lead, mercury, cadmium, hexavalent chromium, polybrominated biphenyls (PBB) or Polybrominated Diphenyl Ethers (PBDE).

Infortrend will endeavor to ensure that products are in compliance with the regulations. WEEE Number: WEE/CG0116XUWEEE Directive (2002/96/EC)The WEEE applies to companies that manufacture, sell, distribute, recycle or treat electrical and electronic equipment and to consumers in the EU. It covers all large and small household appliances, IT equipment, radio and audio equipment, electrical tools and telecommunications equipment. The Directive aims to reduce the waste arising from electrical and electronic equipment and to improve the environmental performance of all those involved in the life cycle of these products. Summary of the WEEE Directive:The WEEE Directive was agreed on 13 February 2003, along with the related Directive on Restrictions of the use of certain Hazardous Substances in electrical and electronic equipment (RoHS).
