TAIPEI, Taiwan, October 8th, 2013 – Infortrend® (Public TPE: 2495) today announced the release of EonStor DS 3000 series products. As top-tier all-inclusive storage solutions, EonStor DS 3000 models deliver high speed performance coupled with smart media scanning, advanced error correction, and data recovery. They offer flexible host board choices (8G/16G Fiber Channel, 10Gb/s iSCSI, and 6Gb/s SAS), and ensure high availability and reliability with a modular redundant hardware design. For better management, Infortrend has developed the user friendly SANWatch 3.0 browser-based interface for the energy-saving EonStor DS 3000 series.
EonStor DS 3000 solutions accelerate vital operations such as volume rebuild. For example, a 4TB NL-SAS drive can be rebuilt in nine hours, or 57% quicker than was possible on previous EonStor generations. Rebuild processes can be scheduled to take place automatically during off-peak periods, so they do not impact productivity or system performance. At up to 350K IOPS read with SSD support, the EonStor DS 3000 series delivers premium storage capabilities and high-end processing power.
Customers can rely on high availability due to dual controllers and power supplies, which prevent system outage and enable fast failover. Components are hot-swappable, with simple maintenance and upgrades. For scalability, the EonStor DS 3000 series affords high density expansion, fitting up to 360 drives.
Products ship with the SANWatch 3.0 UI, which is even more accessible and comprehensive than preceding versions. It offers detailed system status messages to expedite maintenance, management, and troubleshooting, helping customers save time and effort. All EonStor DS 3000 models include a thin provisioning license. They are also very eco-friendly, featuring intelligent drive spin-down to reduce energy consumption when activity is low, which also extends drive lifespan. Power supplies are all 80 PLUS.
