Create Shared Folders

EonStor CS / CS 2000 / CS 2060

After creating local folders on CS, you can share them out with internal users via different protocols (CIFS/SMB, NFS, and FTP).

You can share local folders with external users via the CIFS/SMB and NFS protocols.

Note:

You must create a local folder to share in File Manager first

  1. Go to Settings > File system > Shared Folders
  2. Click Add a shared folder.
  3. Specify the basic shared folder settings:
    NameDescription
    NameSpecify a name for the shared folder. This name is displayed in the shared folder list.
    Folder pathSpecify the location of the folder for sharing, or click Browse to choose one.
    ProtocolSet the shared folder’s accessing protocol: CIFS/SMB, NFS and
    FTP.
    Share nameSpecify a name for the shared folder. This name is displayed to accessing users.
