Prepare the drives to be installed into your storage systems. By default, drives are not included in the system package and must be purchased separately.

When preparing your drives, there are several factors to consider, including:

• Storage capacity
• RAID protection level
• Minimum number of drives required (see How many drives must I install on my CS model?)

Important!

• To make sure you have the compatible drives, refer to the Compatibility Guide (QVL) at Support > Technical Support > Scale-out NAS > Downloads.
• NVMe SSDs must be purchased from Infortrend.
