EonStor CS is a scale-out NAS storage solution. The solution’s architecture consists of the following elements.
- EonStor CS cluster: A group of CS storage systems, also known as “nodes”, form a cluster that works as a single, integrated system. The nodes are connected via the internal network to communicate with one another.
- Clients: Clients access the data stored on the cluster nodes and use the service. The nodes and the clients are connected via the front-end network.
- Administrator’s management PC: The system administrator manages the nodes in a cluster from a management PC by using a centralized, web-based interface called EonOne. The nodes and the management PC are connected via the management network.

Note:
- A single-node model (marked with a “G” in the model name) contains one node on one single appliance.
- A dual-node model (marked with a “D” in the model name) contains two nodes on one single appliance.
