Before backing up your data on a PC, file server, or cloud storage, set up your storage system as the Backup server. This feature is an add-on application and available for you to install. This section details the procedures of installing the application on your GS.

Install the Backup Server Application

1. On a web browser, log in to EonOne using the GS device’s management IP.
2. On EonOne, go to Settings > Applications. There are two subordinated setting pages under Applications:
   • If this is the first-time for you to use these built-in application on GS, you will be directed to Repository.
   • If you have installed any other applications on GS, you will be directed to Installed. Go to Repository.
3. Find Backup Server. The status of this application is Installation required. Click the icon of the application.

   

4. Go to the application information. Click Install.

   

5. To store backup data, choose an existing volume or create a new volume.
6. Click OK. The installation starts. When it is completed, go to Installed to view this application.
