This Guide provides instructions on setting up your storage system for the first time.

Navigate with the Menu

Select a heading in the chapter menu to view the instructions.

• On a computer screen, the chapter menu is located on the left side
• On a mobile device screen, the chapter menu is located at the top.

Follow the Order

The instructions are presented in the order of installation. It is strongly recommended that you follow this order to reduce installation time and prevent any mistakes, technical issues, or physical injuries.

To set up the system, complete hardware installation first. If you have more than one system, repeat the procedures for each system one by one.

After completing the hardware setup, initialize your system using EonOne, our proprietary software suite. The initial setup wizard will guide you through the necessary settings. You can manage multiple systems as a scale-out cluster, or enable HA service between two storage systems to ensure continuous operation. In addition, the storage system can serve as backup storage for your file servers, cloud storage, or PCs, allowing you to store the backup data.

Note:

Scale-out cluster and HA service are available on selected models; however, please note that these two features cannot be activated on the same system at the same time.
