Restore Your Data to a File Server

EonStor GS / GS 2000U / GS 2024U

On EonOne, create a task to restore your data in a file server.

Note:

Folder attributes, e.g. ACL settings, have not been backed up. When restoring data whose source is a file server, the ACL settings of the destination folder will apply to the restored folders/data.

  1. On a web browser, log in to EonOne using the GS device’s management IP.
  2. On EonOne, go to Settings > Applications > Installed.
  3. Find Backup server. Click the item block of this application, and click Open.
  4. Click Restore. For the data source, select File server.
  5. Select the file server.
  6. Select the backup task name and the activate time of the backup operation. For a scheduled task, the backup operation will be activated more than once.
  7. Click Restore to create the task.
