Network Connection

EonStor GS / GS 4000B Gen2 / GS 4025B Gen2

Interface Overview

There are two types of ports on the storage device: management port and data port.

  • Management port: The administrator manages the storage device via this port (1).
  • Data port: A clients accesses the data on the storage device via a data port. A data port may be an onboard host port (2) or a port on a host board (3).

The image above is for reference only. To find the exact port location on your model, follow the steps below.

  1. On Infortrend’s website, click Quick Product Selection (in the top right corner).
  2. Select your model series.
  3. Click Images and then select your model to find its rear view image.

Administrators can build up different data port combinations based on the host boards installed on each controller. Follow the steps below to learn more about supported host boards for your model.

  1. On Infortrend’s website, click Quick Product Selection (in the top right corner).
  2. Select your model series.
  3. Click Related Information and then refer to the Family Datasheet or the Host Board and Memory Guide.

 

Connect to EonOne

Manage the storage device using the EonOne software.

  1. Connect the storage device to a remote computer via the Ethernet management port.
  2. Launch a web browser and enter the IP address of the Ethernet management port. You must obtain the IP address, either a static IP address or DHCP, from your network administrator. If neither is available, use the default address <10.10.1.1>.
  3. Enter admin into the Username and Password fields to log in to EonOne.
