Host Settings

EonStor GS / GS 5000U / GS 5024UE

Work with iSCSI Initiator and Multipath

To connect your host server to the HA storage, you need to work with iSCSI initiator and multipath. For more details, refer to the Appendix sections in EonOne Software User Manual or access Online Help via EonOne.

To access Online Help:

  1. On a web browser, log in to EonOne using one of the storage devices’ management IP.
  2. Go to the Top menu bar > Menu button > Help.
  3. Refer to the Appendix sections for details.

Configure Host Applications for HA Storage

HA storage is applicable to database (SQL server 2016 or later) and virtual clusters (VMware 6.5 or later).

Note:

For a host runs CentOS, CentOS 7.6 or later is supported.

SQL server

When SQL Server databases are used, it is recommended that you use SQL Server 2016 or later, and set target_reconvery_time to 60.

VMware

It is recommended that you use VMware vSphere 6.5 or later as well as its default settings of the cluster HA configurations.

For VMware vSphere 6.7 and 7.0

  1. Turn on vSphere HA with the toggle.
  2. Modify and make sure the settings are as follow:
