Add Cloud Storage

EonStor GSe / GSe 1000 Gen2 / GSe 1012 Gen2

By adding cloud, the cloud provider and the bucket as well as corresponding credential information for accessing will be stored in GS. The information is separately stored in the sections of cloud accounts and cloud locations.

Note:

For the cloud provider, Aliyun, Amazon S3, Microsoft Azure, and Wasabi Cloud are supported.

  1. On a web browser, log in to EonOne using the GS device’s management IP.
  2. On EonOne, go to Settings > Applications > Installed.
  3. Find Backup Server. Click the item block of this application, and click Open.

  4. Click Data sources. In the Data sources section, click Cloud. All added accounts and locations are displayed in the following corresponding sections. Go to Cloud accounts section first, and click Add.

  5. Go to Add an account page, and specify the following information:
    • Account name: For management purpose, specify an identifying name for the combination of the credential information.
    • Cloud provider: Select the provider.
    • Credential information: According to the provider that you select, the required credential information varies.

  6. Click OK.
  7. Go back to the Data sources page, and continue to Cloud locations section. Click Add.
  8. Go to Add a location page, and specify the following information:
    • Location name: For management purpose, specify an identifying name for the combination of the credential information.
    • Account: Select the account that has been added.
  9. For GS to connect to the cloud storage, click Connect.
  10. All available buckets are displayed in the dropdown menu of Bucket. Select a bucket.

  11. Click OK. Go back to the Data sources page. The newly-added cloud location will be displayed.
    • If you want to add another cloud account, repeat Step 5 to Step 6.
    • If you want to add another cloud location, repeat Step 7 to Step 11.
