EonStor GS Scale-Out unified storage accelerates Media Post-Production
Post Production environments can consist of multiple independent storage systems, causing common problems such as inability to scale out performance and capacity, complicated management of isolated storages with separate file directories, troublesome distribution of workloads between storage appliances, and effort-consuming backup.
EonStor GS systems are ideal for medium and small post-production teams with around 10-20 creators. EonStor GS scale-out storage enables up to 4 units to be clustered and centrally managed. The scale-out function integrates multiple GS appliances into a single namespace to provide easy file management and organisation.
GS scale-out unified storage also includes volume auto balancing to evenly distribute capacity across GS units in the cluster. This simplifies workload distribution among each GS, optimising cluster performance and reducing IT storage management burdens.
GS clusters can combine more than one GS model to meet varied workload requirements. For example, all flash GS redundant models (for 4K/8K editing) and the entry-level GSe with HDD (for storage and backup) in a single cluster under a single storage namespace. Users can enjoy high-performance and high-capacity storage with easy file management. Editors can do project backups with EonStor GS local replication features with just one click, taking out the manual process of copying between SSD and HDD storage folders.
