Why Both controllers must have different VLAN ID?

Last modified date: Thu, 24 Oct 2024 15:57:29 GMT+8

Detail:

In GS EonOne, navigate to Settings / Device management > Access > VLAN. Is it possible to assign the same VLAN ID to both controllers?

Solution:

Both controllers must have different VLAN IDs. This requirement stems from the redundant design of the system, where each controller needs a unique VLAN ID. This configuration ensures that if one controller fails, the second controller can seamlessly initiate the failover process. It is not possible to assign the same VLAN ID to both controllers due to these operational constraints.
