EonOne

EonOne is the infrastructure management interface used for hardware administration, maintenance tasks, and system-level operations. It is primarily intended for administrators and maintainers who manage the underlying IEC platform environment. Typical tasks performed in EonOne include:

  • Monitoring hardware and node health
  • Reviewing system status and resource usage
  • Managing storage-related settings
  • Updating firmware
  • Configuring backup and restore settings
  • Managing node-level and maintenance-related operations
  • Performing infrastructure administration tasks

EonOne is used when the task involves platform hardware, system services, storage integration, maintenance workflows, or other infrastructure-level settings that are outside the scope of normal day-to-day user operations.

Users typically access EonOne by using a supported web browser and connecting to the management portal provided for system administration. After signing in, administrators and maintainers can review system status, perform maintenance operations, and manage platform infrastructure through the available configuration and monitoring pages.

Choosing the Appropriate Tool

As a general guideline:

  • Use EonKube for application, workload, virtual machine, and HPC operations.
  • Use EonOne for infrastructure administration, hardware management, maintenance, backup and restore, and system-level configuration.

In some cases, a task may begin in one interface and require follow-up actions in the other. For example, a user may deploy and manage an application in EonKube, while an administrator manages backup policies or infrastructure settings in EonOne.

Understanding the distinction between these two interfaces helps users locate the correct management functions more efficiently and reduces confusion during daily operation.
