After a virtual machine is created, you can review its status and resource information, open the built-in console, or access the guest operating system remotely by using supported remote access tools.
Viewing Virtual Machine Details
Use the Virtual Machines page to review the status and basic information of a virtual machine.
Procedure
- Go to EonKube > Virtualization > Virtual Machines.
- Review the virtual machine list.
- Use filters if needed to locate a specific virtual machine.
- Click the VM name to open the details page.
The details page may display information such as:
- VM name
- Current status
- IP address
- CPU usage
- Memory usage
- Resource configuration
- Event or operation logs
Opening the VM Console
To open the virtual machine that you created on EonKube, follow the procedure below.
Procedure
- Go to EonKube > Virtualization > Virtual Machines.
- Select the target VM from the List.
- Click the dropdown Console menu.
- Choose one of the following options:
- Open in Web VNC
- Open in Serial Console
Remote Access to a Virtual Machine
In addition to the built-in console, virtual machines can be accessed remotely by using guest operating system tools.
- Windows VM: Use Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP) to connect by using the VM IP address and valid login credentials.
- Linux VM: Use PuTTY, OpenSSH, or another SSH client to connect by using the VM IP address and SSH key.
