Ensure all nodes are running the latest firmware for improved functionality and performance. You can update the cluster's firmware with officially released files for improved functionalities and performance.
Procedure
- Please go to Infortrend Official Website > Product Service, register your product and go to firmware download page to download the new firmware.
- Go to EonOne for KS > Settings > Firmware update
- Click Firmware Update.
- Go to the Firmware update page. Find Update system firmware to import a firmware file. Click Browse to upload the firmware file.
- Click Update. It will take around 30 mins to finish the update process.
- When the update is completed, the node automatically restarts.
- Once the restart is completed, log in again to check the firmware version. The updated version is displayed.
Note:
When performing Rolling Updates of the firmware, a virtual machine (VM) that has a volume mounted from a different node may experience pause due to I/O unavailability. This is because the firmware update process can temporarily disrupt the I/O operations required for the VM to access the mounted volume. When the VM Paused, users need to manually restart the VM to regain access and ensure proper functionality.
For more information about restart a pause VM, see the Pausing and Restarting a Virtual Machine
