K-Baduk TV Adopted Infortrend Storage for Media Archive

K-Baduk, a South Korean cable TV company, is adopting EonStor GS 1024S for the Media Archive application. K-Baduk broadcasts Go tournaments and related contents. The game Go, an ancient Asian board game known for its complexity, requires two players to attempt to encircle more territory than their opponent and is vastly popular in Korea.
Challenges
Previously K-Baduk manually archived these media files onto 20 x 2TB HDDs on a disk-by-disk basis per month, not to mention the labor going into protecting and organizing these disks with physical cases and racks. In addition, copying and storing these media files by hand have resulted in duplication and data loss. Retrieving these data is also a pain that takes time and manpower.
Solution
By introducing GS 1024S Unified Storage, K-Baduk was able to streamline their workflow and make it easy to save and retrieve data. K-Bakduk is also able to drastically reduce the risk of data loss by implementing RAID 6 and built-in WORM (Write Once Read Many) features.
