What to Do if There is an M.2 Lifetime Error Event?

Symptom

The UI reports an error event such as:

ERROR: M.2 lifetime threshold error, slot A, flag: 800D, lifetime: 50, remaintime: 0 hours, erase count: 24E/273 (avg/max)

This indicates that the M.2 drive in the controller has reached or is close to reaching its end of life.

Solution
  • Export the diagnostic log.
  • Contact Infortrend technical support for assistance with replacing the controller. You can submit a support ticket at Infortrend Support.
