To ensure that the system and data service will be back online after a controller failover, you must take note of the following factors:

1. The data in cache memory is synced.
   Ensure that the cache memory is installed identically so that when failover of the controller occurs, the memory content is still identical with the failed one to ensure data accuracy.
2. The system must provide the channel service and expansion connectivity in the same way.
   If you have one FC host board and one expansion board installed on controller A, it MUST have an identical FC host board and expansion board on controller B. This rule must also be applied when installing two host boards in one controller.
