Why Can't the Windows iSCSI Initiator Log In to the Mapped LUN?

Symptom:

The Windows iSCSI initiator is unable to log in to the mapped LUN.

Solution:

Check if CHAP authentication is enabled. CHAP authentication should be turned OFF in the Access submenu of the WebGUI.

Steps to Resolve:

  1. Open the WebGUI and navigate to the Access submenu.
  2. Locate the CHAP Authentication setting.
  3. Ensure that CHAP Authentication is set to OFF.
  4. Save the changes if necessary.

Conclusion:

By verifying and disabling CHAP authentication in the WebGUI, you should be able to resolve the issue of the Windows iSCSI initiator being unable to log in to the mapped LUN.
