How to replace drive?
Replacing a Drive (for CS 3016/3024/4016/4024)
To replace a drive:
1. Identify the faulty drive using the drive tray LEDs or EonOne for CS software.
2. When the faulty drive is located, push the release button to eject the drive tray, wait for 30 seconds for the drive to spin down, then pull out the tray using the spring handle.
3. Remove the retention screws from the drive tray to dislodge the drive.
4. Install the replacement drive to the drive tray, then insert the assembled drive and drive tray to the bay with the spring handle open.
5. When the tray is fully inserted to the bay, close the spring handle.
Replacing a Drive (for CS 4014U/4025B)
To replace a drive:
1. Identify the faulty drive using the drive tray LEDs or EonOne software.
2. When the faulty drive is located, push the release button to eject the drive tray, then pull out the tray using the spring handle.
3. Remove the side clips from the tray (A) then remove the drive from the tray.
4. Place the replacement drive on the tray, then secure the clips to the side of the tray.
5. Insert the assembled drive and tray to the enclosure with the spring handle open, then close the spring handle when the drive is fully inserted to the bay.
Replacing a Drive (for CS 2060/3060/4060)
To replace a drive:
1. Identify the faulty drive using the EonOne software.
2. When the faulty drive is located, open the top cover of the enclosure.
3. Look for the defective drive, then pull up its handle plate (A) and remove the assembled drive and tray (B).
4. Take out the defective drive from the tray, assemble the drive replacement to the tray, then install the assembly back to the system.
