Symptoms
The media scan task is stuck or does not complete.
Possible Cause
This issue may occur when bad blocks or drive errors are encountered during the media scan process. The system may slow down or pause the scan while it attempts to recover or reconstruct data using parity from adjacent drives.
Solution
- Allow the system to complete the media scan.
If bad blocks are detected, the system will automatically reconstruct the affected data. - To check the progress: You can confirm the media scan status via the EonOne UI.
- If the scan does not progress for an unusually long time, please contact Infortrend Support.
