Last modified date: Thu, 24 Oct 2024 15:57:26 GMT+8

Introduction:

Block level snapshots allow you to capture the state of a volume at a specific point in time. These snapshots can be accessed and mounted on Windows or Linux servers for data recovery or analysis. This guide provides step-by-step instructions on how to mount and access block level snapshot data.

Procedure:

You can mount the snapshot volume to the Windows or Linux server by following these steps:

  • Access Snapshot Monitoring:
After the snapshot is completed, navigate to EonOne > Settings > Data protection > Monitoring.
  • Navigate to Snapshot Section:
    1. Go to the Snapshot section.
    2. Click the link of the snapshot name.
  • Select Desired Snapshot:
    1. A list of snapshots that share the name and were taken at different moments will be displayed.
    2. Select the snapshot that you want to map.
  • Map Snapshot to a Host:
Refer to the Mapping a Snapshot to a Host section in the software manual (page 354) for detailed instructions.

By following these steps, you can effectively mount and access block-level snapshot data on your Windows or Linux server.
