Why Does the GUI Show “Error, Try Again” When Expanding a Logical Volume/Pool?

Last modified date: Thu, 24 Oct 2024 15:58:04 GMT+8

Problem Description

When adding one or several drives to a logical drive, the logical drive may contain extra space, but the logical volume is not expanded. To enlarge usable capacity, the logical volume/pool needs to be expanded. In the current firmware design, logical volume/pool expansion must be done after adding the drive.

Symptoms

While the logical drive members are cloning, attempting to expand the logical volume/pool will fail and display the error message “Error, Try again.”
Try again

Conditions When the Problem Occurs

This issue occurs while the logical drive is cloning the disk.

Solution

This issue cannot be fixed immediately. You need to wait for the cloning process to finish before performing the logical volume/pool expansion.
