In 2011 the multimedia streaming platform Stream LLC (Stream.ru), a subsidiary of Mobile TeleSystems started its operation in Moscow. The service is streaming multimedia content to Smart TVs, smart phones and computers. The platform provides around 7000 movies and TV series from Universal Pictures, Walt Disney, Warner Bros., Sony Pictures Entertainment, Bazelevs, Central Partnership, and others. The portal is visited each month by 1.5 million visitors.

Establishing a reliable storage system for a new multimedia streaming platform

Stream LLC built its first data center 2011 in Moscow and researched about first-time storage equipment that fulfills their requirements.
